Inauguration of Stompin Tom Day in
Saint John, NB

King Square was a huge success with the inaugeration of Stompin Tom Day and the concert in support of single parents and underprivleged children. Charles and Georgia Slowley from the visiting cruise ship were thrilled to see Big John T-bone Little, a performer they had seen in Montego Bay. Although they had never heard of Stompin Tom they enjoyed having Big John dedicate a Jamaican song to them.

The concert in King Square organized by Jason MacLean networking with Sarahlouise Brown of Ethnic Rainbow Native Cast / People for People was enjoyed by many. Big John headlined the show and performers included Green Law the Out Law ( at 67 years of age and being mentored by Big John) as well as 14 year old Jessie Lloyd, persons of all ages that learn and network with Big John. Big John couldn't make the concert at Harbour Station due to a previous engagement in Grand Bay Westfield, but Stompin Tom was very pleased to receive the plaque from Big John and his manager Sarahlouise Brown.

Stompin Tom announced from the stage in a long drawn out story, how he met a tall man in a shiny black cadillac who picked him up on the road many years ago, fed him and guess who he was talking about? None other than our own Big John T-bone Little.

All in all the concert both in Kings Square and Harbour Station were both successful. Here is the message from the plaque presented to Stompin Tom:

In appreciation from all musicians that you have inspired and diligently encouraged over the years through the dedication and perseverance to your musical craft. I, Big John – TB- Little have the honour, on this day, to present this plaque on your first annual August 8th 2009 declaration in Saint John, NB in King’s Square “Stompin Tom Day”. It has been a great journey since the day we met on the highway, crossing paths. Your sentiment to artists and fans has been treasured to the present day that we have before us. Together fans and musicians stand as one applauding you with your blessed gift.

In my 80th year, I say to you “May your life be long and prosperous throughout the universe as well benefit reflections of pleasure to mankind

Sincerely,
Your supporting musician friend,

Mr. Big John T-bone Little

Big thanks to NICOLE BRIAND with her expertise, grace, compassion while participating with the project of Cojak films. It was a pleasure to have such a lady of grace and poise while I was in studio performing the spirituals for the documentary ""HERITAGE NOIR"" sold to English and French CBC.
A great big thanks to ""Colette"" as well for her co-operation as producer.
Heritage Noir is a bilingual documentary based on Black History that dates back to Amistad and Underground Railroads. It's a must see! I hope all enjoyed the viewing during Black History Month.
